| Hollywood International Film Festival Honors Jordan Burt And Ignite Production Group For "Best Drama“ Winner, Student Film Category Los Angeles, CALIF |
Ignite Production Group (IPG) a major Creative Meetings & Events production company, today announced that The Silence, a film short written and directed by Jordan Burt, and co-produced by IPG was selected as the Student Film Category winner in Drama, during the Hollywood International Film Festival.
During his senior year at Poway High School, Jordan, now a film student at the Ford Film School, at Chapman University in Orange California, had a major life experience that later influenced him to create this 28-minute short. "I've had this story in my head ever since our family was involved in a fatal accident in April 2001", said Jordan. The film is an essay on illegal immigration, mostly told through the eyes and internal narration of Jorge - an undocumented worker who travels north from his small village in Mexico to earn money for his wife and ailing mother.
This film has already stirred the interest of Hollywood film notables and it will be entered into additional film festivals during the first quarter of 2007. |
